Greetings from the sea – Eckernförde

An original postally used paper object from the collection, catalogued as picture postcard. Front: Colour collage “Grüße von der See” with windsurfing, a cliff coast and a panorama of the Baltic resort. Reverse: Published by Mielck, Kiel; used with a 60-pfennig “Röntgengerät” stamp and Ostseebad Eckernförde slogan machine cancel. The catalogue dating is “c. 1980–1982”, and the country/postal area is recorded as “Federal Republic of Germany”. Condition is typical of a genuinely travelled postcard: normal handling traces, light rounding or wear at the edges, minor surface marks and handwritten/postal matter are present, while the object remains complete and its principal printed design, stamp and cancellation survive. Both sides were scanned directly. The catalogue images retain every visible edge without retouching or artificial restoration. The description deliberately separates firmly legible evidence from dates or cancellations that are only partly readable.
