GDR cover with two “30 years Warsaw Treaty” stamps

An original postal-history paper object from the collection, catalogued as a commemorative mixed-franking cover. Cover to Frau Erwin Glass bearing two identical 20-pfennig commemoratives “30 Jahre Warschauer Vertrag 1955–1985”. The double franking totals 40 pfennig and is postally cancelled on the complete cover. The catalogue dating is “1985”, the country or postal area is “German Democratic Republic”, and the visible franking or postal charge is recorded as “2 × 20 Pf = 40 Pf”. Condition is typical of genuinely transported and opened correspondence: folds, light soiling, edge wear and small opening tears may be present and have not been concealed. Front and back were scanned directly with all visible edges retained, without retouching or artificial restoration. Details that cannot be read securely from the scan are deliberately identified as approximate rather than asserted as certain.
