GDR cover with NVA and Leipzig Autumn Fair 1983 stamps

An original postal-history paper object from the collection, catalogued as a mixed-franking postal cover. Light-blue cover to Erwin Glass bearing two GDR stamps: 10 pfennig “25 Jahre Nationale Volksarmee” and 25 pfennig “Leipziger Herbstmesse 1983 – Programmierte Effektivität durch Mikroelektronik”. Total franking is 35 pfennig; a Stendal return address is on the reverse. The catalogue dating is “1983”, the country or postal area is “German Democratic Republic”, and the visible franking or postal charge is recorded as “10 Pf + 25 Pf = 35 Pf”. Condition is typical of genuinely transported and opened correspondence: folds, light soiling, edge wear and small opening tears may be present and have not been concealed. Front and back were scanned directly with all visible edges retained, without retouching or artificial restoration.
