Hermann E. Sieger merchandise mail with leprosy-relief stamp

Hermann E. Sieger merchandise mail with leprosy-relief stamp

An original postal-history paper object from the collection, catalogued as a philatelic-dealer merchandise cover. Commercial merchandise mailing from the philatelic firm Hermann E. Sieger, Lorch/Württemberg, to Erwin Glass, marked “Nicht knicken / Geb. gepr.”. It is franked with the 80-pfennig “25 Jahre Deutsches Aussätzigen-Hilfswerk” stamp and was cancelled at Lorch in 1982. The catalogue dating is “1982”, the country or postal area is “Federal Republic of Germany”, and the visible franking or postal charge is recorded as “80 Pfennig”. Condition is typical of genuinely transported and opened correspondence: folds, light soiling, edge wear and small opening tears may be present and have not been concealed. Front and back were scanned directly with all visible edges retained, without retouching or artificial restoration. Details that cannot be read securely from the scan are deliberately identified as approximate rather than asserted as certain.
