US airmail cover to Hamburg with four stamps

An original postal-history paper object from the collection, catalogued as a international airmail cover. International correspondence to Hamburg, hand-marked “Air Mail” and “West Germany”. The 80-cent franking consists of three 20-cent Ralph Bunche stamps and one 20-cent flag-and-building definitive. It was cancelled in Atlanta; the upper edge is torn from opening. The catalogue dating is “c. 1980s”, the country or postal area is “United States of America”, and the visible franking or postal charge is recorded as “4 × 20 cents = 80 cents”. Condition is typical of genuinely transported and opened correspondence: folds, light soiling, edge wear and small opening tears may be present and have not been concealed. Front and back were scanned directly with all visible edges retained, without retouching or artificial restoration. Details that cannot be read securely from the scan are deliberately identified as approximate rather than asserted as certain.
